in a nutshell

I’m Ludovica, and I believe in the power of stories

I have always observed the world with extreme curiosity — ever since I was a child.

At the supermarket, standing in line at the checkout, I would look at what people were buying and find myself fantasizing about the stories behind each shopping cart. I would walk around and wonder what was hidden behind the clenched jaw of that passerby, or what joy was concealed behind the laughter on the phone of that other person.

That curiosity has never left me, becoming my way of reading the world: a slow, intimate, and (at times) still naive way.

That’s how I realized that communicating isn’t just about choosing the right words, but also, and above all, knowing how to translate what we have inside us into experiences that can touch those who listen to us.

Today, it’s the nuances that fascinate me. I’ve learned to let myself be surprised by simple things, small gestures, glances; by the details of everyday life that tell stories.

I strongly believe in the importance of empathy and attention to detail, which I have made my compass, both in my personal life and in my profession.

Sicily, 1999
I was born in Sicily, in a town of about twenty-two thousand people

My childhood and adolescence unfolded to the slow rhythm of the sea waves, amidst the chatter of neighbors talking from their balconies and the unmistakable call of the “fruit truck,” capable of gathering the entire neighborhood in an instant.

My days were filled with the scent of freshly baked “rustici” that, at exactly noon, would drift through the streets; the tolling of church bells marking the passing hours; and makeshift picnic lunches carried to the beach. These sights, sounds, and smells became part of me, etched into my memory.

Bologna, 2018
I moved away to study Communication

It was between the classrooms on Via Zamboni and low-budget aperitifs under the city’s porticoes that I learned that communication is, above all, an act of deep listening.

I fell in love with semiotics, the study of signs and meanings, which taught me the importance of “knowing how to discern” and to see the world as a web of stories and narratives, of meanings and signifiers.

I started working at a small web agency and stayed there for two years, navigating client management, website design, and online advertising campaigns. It was there that I fully realized how much shaping and giving form to new ideas excited and deeply satisfied me, and how rewarding it was to guide them from their inception to realization.

Linz, 2024
My new life in Austria

I moved to Austria and started working in marketing for a leading multinational company. Most of my days were spent on trains, enduring extreme commuting that, on one hand, exhausted me, but on the other, allowed me to reconnect with reading and writing — passions I had put aside with the familiar excuse of “I don’t have time.”

I discovered the value of preserving memories through the art of scrapbooking and the power of journaling, which became a daily ritual and an essential part of my routine.

Today
My project, Unastoriadietro, was born

I carry with me the knowledge and insights I have gained over the years: a collection made of simple things, mountains of books, and stories whispered in my ear.

A desire grows within me to share with others the power of communication that springs from active listening and unfolds through genuine emotions and sensory experiences — a type of communication that enhances presence in the here and now and fosters empathy and connection.

And this is how UnaStoriaDietro was born, a space to shape and share reflections on storytelling, sensory communication, and everything related to the power of narrative.

My project Unastoriadietro: where storytelling meets sensory communication

Everything around us hides a story. From our closest friend at the local supermarket, to our trusted hairdresser, to the little basil plant on our windowsill

It’s an imperfect story, made of subtle details, nuances, and inconsistencies. A story that needs to be read, savored — but above all, it needs to be brought to light. Just as it is, without filters.

And this is where my project UnaStoriaDietro was born: from the desire to bring out the most authentic essence of every project and turn it into a story that is uniquely yours.

In this space, I aim to give value to the behind-the-scenes — to the stories that often remain invisible, yet profoundly shape who we are and the words we choose to tell them.
